Is your payroll outsourced?

One example of where companies need to consider GDPR compliance, employee data and the role of the data processor, is when your payroll is outsourced to a 3rd party.

The 3rd party will be processing your employee data such as First Name, Surname, National Insurance Numbers, Salary Information in its capacity as a data processor - you need to ensure that you have established what measures they have implemented to become GDPR compliant and understand that both you (the data controller) and they (the data processor) have a joint responsibilty to ensure this personal data is protected and secure in line with the GDPR principles.
